One hundred and fifty-six homes would be available to households earning 30 to 80 percent of the area median income (AMI). At the time of publication, <a href=\"https:\/\/pinellas.gov\/about-pinellas-facts\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Pinellas County\u2019s<\/a> household income was $56,737.<\/p>\n<p>The remaining 18 homes would be reserved for children transitioning from foster care to independent living. In-unit home features would include energy-efficient appliances, washers\/dryers, and granite countertops.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-38713\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/Screenshot-2026-03-18-at-9.07.51-PM.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"1200\" height=\"826\"  \/><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-caption-text\">The project would occupy land that once served as a parking lot for an assisted living facility. Image from Google Earth<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/stpeterising.com\/home\/174-unit-affordable-housing-project-with-rents-starting-at-512-per-month-proposed-for-skyway-marina-district\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">St. Pete Rising<\/a> reports that rent could be as low as $512 a month. Communal amenities at Skyway Flats would include a fitness center and community space, which would host financial literacy classes and offer additional social services.<\/p>\n<p>As noted, Elmington Capital Group is the developer. The firm is seeking more than $50 million in funding from various entities, including Raymond James, SAIL Funding, and the Penny for Pinellas fund.<\/p>\n<p>Skyway Flats is slated for <a href=\"https:\/\/maps.app.goo.gl\/XFvnDr64bQGPwuHB6\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">3600 34th Street South, St. Petersburg, Florida, 33711<\/a>, in Pinellas County.
