A Florida man<\/a> went viral earlier this week when he was filmed while driving his vehicle down the highway. The man looked strikingly similar to disgraced financier and convicted child sex offender Jeffrey Epstein<\/a>.<\/p>\n

There has been a long-running conspiracy theory that Epstein, who reportedly committed suicide in his jail cell in 2019, is still alive. The viral video played into the conspiracy theory, and the internet started going wild.<\/p>\n

As it turns out, the man in the video is not Jeffrey Epstein, and he found out he was going viral when friends were blowing up his phone. Now, he has revealed himself as \u201cPalm Beach Pete.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cHey everybody, this is Palm Beach Pete, and my video went viral, because some dude randomly filmed me while I was driving on I-95, unbeknownst to me, and the next thing I know, I\u2019m a viral sensation,\u201d the man said.<\/p>\n

\u201cI had my phone down for about four hours, and I didn\u2019t know my phone was blowing up with all these comments from that video. So I got a lot of traction. It\u2019s pretty crazy. Thanks. So you\u2019re not Jeffrey Epstein? I\u2019m not Jeffrey Epstein. I\u2019m Palm Beach Pete. Atta boy, yeah. Okay, peace out.\u201d<\/p>\n

That\u2019s not the best reason to become a \u201cviral sensation,\u201d but Pete seems to be enjoying himself.<\/p>\n

The conspiracy theorists, meanwhile, are keeping things going and still aren\u2019t convinced that \u201cPalm Beach Pete\u201d isn\u2019t Epstein himself. \u201cThat\u2019s exactly what Jeffrey Epstein would say,\u201d one commenter wrote.<\/p>\n
