ORLANDO, Fla. \u2014\u00a0Orlando native Omari Jones will fight in his hometown once again this weekend, taking on Christian Gomez in a junior middleweight fight at the Caribe Royale on Saturday.<\/p>\n

\u00a0Jones has continued to give back to his community and was at the GRO Run Club event this week<\/p>\n
\u201cI don’t care how many times I fight in my hometown, it\u2019s just always exciting to see my fans, my family, my Day 1 supporters who\u2019ve just been there for me,\u201d Jones said.<\/p>\n
Saturday will be Jones\u2019 sixth professional fight and third in Orlando.<\/p>\n
\u201cMy hard work and my dedication and my consistency to get to the point. I went through the trials and tribulations to get to the Olympics,\u201d Jones said. \u201cI have a great team. My family is with me, so I attribute a lot of that to having a successful team as well.\u201d<\/p>\n
Jones (5-0, 4 knockouts) has never lost sight of his community as his career has taken off. This week, he worked with local businesses and was at the GRO Run Club event in Orlando.<\/p>\n
\u201cNow that I’m in the opportunity and position as a professional fighter and Olympic bronze medalist, there’s no better way to give back and show kids the way that it’s possible to get to where you want to be in life,\u201d Jones said.<\/p>\n
As he turns his attention to Saturday night, Jones is looking to stay undefeated and continue his domination inside the ring.<\/p>\n
\u201cSaturday is exactly another opportunity to be great,” Jones said. “I’m looking for another great win, another dominant win in dominant fashion.\u201d<\/p>\n
