PANACEA, Fla. (WCTV) – Hundreds of people filled Woolley Park for pints and seafood in Panacea at the annual Beer and Oyster Festival on Saturday. <\/p>\n
\u201cI love oysters,\u201d Maya Loizeaux said. \u201cLove the energy of the people, the whole event, and everybody coming together to celebrate eating.\u201d <\/p>\n
This is the seventh year of the festival, bringing together people from across the region to try local beer and local oysters. Loizeaux traveled from Valdosta to attend. <\/p>\n

She says the event helps bring people together of all backgrounds, while also shining a spotlight on local businesses. <\/p>\n
\u201cIt really is about giving back to the community and supporting local,\u201d Loizeaux said. \u201cWe are all connected. We all need each other.\u201d <\/p>\n
Aside from beer and oysters, there were dozens of arts and crafts vendors to support. <\/p>\n
