Snake yoga is a thing in Florida. Yes, really.

While you may have heard of early morning yoga on the beach, hot yoga, yoga with puppies, baby goats or even horses, a Florida sanctuary takes it one step further.

Sunset Wildlife Connection is a nonprofit inspected by the Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission (FWC) located in Escambia County that will let you—for a fee—participate in this physical art with their reptiles.

“We release two snakes at a time on the yoga floor and you can create a yoga class focused on spinal extension and elongation,” their website reads. “This is a fun and different class that your students are sure to love.”

The experience is billed as a 1 hour and 45 minute practice with a 15 minute meet-and-greet with the animals at the end. Snakes and two wildlife specialists are included in the booking starting at $200.

For $100 more, the wildlife sanctuary will bring the yoga and an instructor to you: “We bring the wild to your house, office, or even outside (weather permitting). We provide the yoga instructor and the animals to your event for a fun and wild experience while you and your guests get your yoga on.”

And that’s not the only educational and hands-on encounter they offer. See more here.

Whether or not flowing with the cold-blooded creatures is your vibe, it’s good to know Florida isn’t falling behind the likes of Oregon or California.

Maybe someone can invite alligators to the studio next. (To be clear, that was a joke.)

Snake yoga is a thing in Florida. Yes, really.
