The Gators head to Tempe, Ariz., for April 1-4 NCAA Regional Gymnastics Championships. Competition begins for the Gators in the April 2 Tempe Regional evening session.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nThe NCAA Gymnastics Committee revealed the fields for the four NCAA Region Championship sites today at noon on ESPNU.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nThis is the sixth year for the following regional championships format:<br \/>\n&#13;<br \/>\n\tNine teams compete at four regional sites:&#13;<br \/>\n\tRegional First Round \u2013 Lowest two seeded teams at each site compete to advance to regional semifinal&#13;<br \/>\n\tRegional Second Round \u2013 Eight teams compete, split into two four-team sessions. Top two teams in each second round session advance to regional final&#13;<br \/>\n\tRegional Final \u2013 Four teams compete, with top two teams advancing to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncaatickets.com\/championship\/womens-gymnastics\/champinfo\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">NCAA Championships, set for April 16-18 in Fort Worth, Texas<\/a>.&#13;<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13;<\/p>\n<p>\nFlorida&#8217;s competed in every NCAA Regional since the first season in 1982. NCAA Regional action has sent the Gators to 21 different sites since 1985 (UF played host to the 1982, &#8217;83 and &#8217;84 events) and 2026 marks the second time UF competes regionals in the state of Arizona. Florida&#8217;s first regional competition in the Grand Canyon State came in 2004 at Tucson.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nThe nine-team field for the NCAA Tempe Gymnastics Regional:<br \/>\n&#13;<br \/>\n\tNo. 3 Florida&#13;<br \/>\n\tNo. 6 Georgia&#13;<br \/>\n\tNo. 11 Michigan State&#13;<br \/>\n\tNo. 14 California&#13;<br \/>\n\tNo. 24 BYU&#13;<br \/>\n\tNo. 28 Southern Utah&#13;<br \/>\n\tNo. 20 Penn State&#13;<br \/>\n\tNo. 32 Arizona State&#13;<br \/>\n\tNo. 33 Arizona&#13;<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<br \/>\nNCAA Regional Competition Info:<br \/>\nFor the 12th consecutive season, the seeding determined at the time of regional selections will be maintained throughout the championships. Florida was also the No. 3 seed in 2025, 2017, 1985 and 1982.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nStandard bracketing procedures will be followed with teams seeded 1, 4, 5, 8, 9, 12, 13 and 16 placed on the left side of the bracket and teams seeded 2, 3, 6, 7, 10, 11, 14 and 15 placed on the right side of the bracket.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/espnpressroom.com\/us\/press-releases\/2025\/11\/espn-networks-set-to-showcase-2026-ncaa-gymnastics-season-across-abc-espn-espn2-sec-network-acc-network-and-espn\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">For the sixth straight season, the four NCAA regional second round and final competitions are available live on ESPN+ with coverage of every gymnast and apparatus.<\/a> For the fourth straight year, regional competition has staggered start dates, with the Baton Rouge and Tempe sites beginning first round action on April 1 and the Lexington and Corvallis sites starting competition on April 2.
