The Owls played four games in the North Florida tournament at the Cooper Beach Volleyball Complex in Jacksonville, Florida.<\/p>\n<p>FAU came into the tournament coming off a 1-3 showing at the <a href=\"https:\/\/fausports.com\/news\/2026\/3\/15\/no-13-womens-beach-volleyball-no-13-florida-atlantic-splits-against-no-3-usc-tampa\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Florida Atlantic Beach Invitational<\/a>, and they fell from No. 13 to No. 14 following that tournament.<\/p>\n<p>The Owls took on No. 17 University of North Florida (<a href=\"https:\/\/unfospreys.com\/sports\/womens-beach-volleyball\/schedule\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">12-8<\/a>), No. 15 Stetson University (<a href=\"https:\/\/gohatters.com\/sports\/womens-beach-volleyball\/schedule\/2026\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">18-5<\/a>), and Saint Leo University (<a href=\"https:\/\/saintleolions.com\/sports\/womens-beach-volleyball\/schedule\/2026\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">10-4<\/a>) this past weekend, winning their final two of the four games.<\/p>\n<p>Friday, March 20<\/p>\n<p>On Court 5, <a href=\"https:\/\/fausports.com\/sports\/womens-beach-volleyball\/roster\/cameron-knifton\/18913\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Cameron Knifton<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/fausports.com\/sports\/womens-beach-volleyball\/roster\/allison-spittal\/18926\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Allison Spittal<\/a> scored first, earning a 21-13, 21-14 straight-set win. Stetson then tied the dual with a two-set win on Court 4.<\/p>\n<p>On Court 3, <a href=\"https:\/\/fausports.com\/sports\/womens-beach-volleyball\/roster\/klaire-vandeusen\/18920\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Klaire VanDeusen<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/fausports.com\/sports\/womens-beach-volleyball\/roster\/mia-scanlon\/18915\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Mia Scanlon<\/a> responded, putting the Owls back on top with a 21\u201316, 21\u201316 victory. However, Stetson evened the score on Court 1 with a two-set win before clinching the dual, 3-2, with a three-set victory on Court 2.<\/p>\n<p>In the second match of the day, North Florida took an early lead with wins on Courts 4 and 5, followed by a two-set victory on Court 3. <a href=\"https:\/\/fausports.com\/sports\/womens-beach-volleyball\/roster\/denisse-morgenstern\/18922\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Denisse Morgenstern<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/fausports.com\/sports\/womens-beach-volleyball\/roster\/shantel-starling\/18917\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Shantel Starling<\/a> got the Owls on the board with a two-set win on Court 1, 21-16, 21-15.<\/p>\n<p>Ultimately, the Ospreys defeated the Owls, sealing the 4\u20131 dual with a straight-set win on Court 2.<\/p>\n<p>Saturday, March 21<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/fausports.com\/sports\/womens-beach-volleyball\/roster\/reese-edwards\/18912\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Reese Edwards<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/fausports.com\/sports\/womens-beach-volleyball\/roster\/kendall-mignerey\/18914\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Kendall Mignerey<\/a> opened the day against North Florida with a 21\u201317, 21\u201315 straight-set win on Court 4. The Ospreys responded by tying the match with a three-set victory on Court 5.<\/p>\n<p>Morgenstern and Starling put FAU back on top with a 21\u201314, 21\u201315 straight-set win on Court 1. On Court 3, Scanlon and VanDeusen secured the match for the Owls with a 21\u201318, 21\u201318 straight-set win.<\/p>\n<p>North Florida concluded the dual on Court 2 with a two-set win, securing a 3\u20132 victory for the Owls.<\/p>\n<p>In the final match of the day against Saint Leo, Edwards and Mignerey secured the first point for the Owls once again with a commanding 21-14, 21-8 win over the Lions.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/fausports.com\/sports\/womens-beach-volleyball\/roster\/shayna-wolf\/18921\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Shayna Wolf<\/a> and Spittal paired up for the first time this season and extended the lead to 2\u20130 with a three-set, 21\u201318, 18\u201321, 15\u20136 win on Court 5. Morgenstern and Starling clinched the win for FAU with a 21\u201312, 21\u201314 straight-set victory on Court 1. Scanlon and VanDeusen followed with a 21\u201315, 21\u201317 win on Court 3 to secure the fourth point.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/fausports.com\/sports\/womens-beach-volleyball\/roster\/ava-koehl\/18923\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Ava Koehl<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/fausports.com\/sports\/womens-beach-volleyball\/roster\/olivia-strandberg\/18919\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Olivia Strandberg<\/a> secured a straight-set win on Court 2, 21\u201318, 21\u201310, helping complete the sweep for the Owls and tying for a team-best 11\u20136 record as a pair this season, as Florida Atlantic improved to 4\u20130 over Saint Leo.<\/p>\n<p>The Owls look to remain ranked No. 14 after posting a 2-2 record at the tournament.<\/p>\n<p>Next weekend, on March 27th and 28th, the Owls will travel to Austin to compete in the Texas Invitational, facing highly ranked teams from the University of Southern California, Long Beach State, Stanford, and the University of California, Los Angeles.<\/p>\n<p>Ella Haas is a Staff Writer for the University Press.
