\t\tEditorial Standards \u24d8<\/a><\/p>\n \n\t\t\t\t\t\tTraffic was backed up along the northbound lanes of Alligator Alley after a deadly crash Monday afternoon.According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the crash happened at mile marker 86 of I-75 at 11:58 a.m., and all northbound lanes were blocked. The southbound lanes of I-75 remained open. Troopers say it was a six-vehicle chain reaction crash. A 33-year-old man from Pompano Beach was driving a 2025 Kenworth semitruck\/trailer and approaching the other vehicles ahead that were slowing down or stopped.According to the report, the Pompano Beach man did not slow down his vehicle and hit the rear of an SUV, killing the passenger, a 69-year-old woman, and seriously injuring the driver, a 71-year-old man from Wilmington, Massachusetts.Another driver, a 57-year-old Fort Lauderdale man driving a 2013 Toyota SUV, was seriously injured in the crash as well, FHP said.Three other vehicles were involved, but the drivers were not injured, according to the report.
