Rootsy rockers (with a satisfying twist of alt-rock stubbornness) BoDeans ramble into the Dr. Phillips Center this week as part of a tour celebrating the 40th anniversary \u2014 holy shit, we are indeed olde \u2014 of debut album Love & Hope & Sex & Dreams \u2026 and Good Things. <\/p>\n

This 100-plus-show extended fete is worthy of an album like Love & Hope, a platter that was defiantly timeless upon its 1986 release, sporting rich hues of rockabilly, ragged-glory country-rock and proudly vulnerable balladeering. <\/p>\n

You\u2019ve heard their true-believers-only rock soundtracked on everything from The Bear to Party of Five, you\u2019ve read the lore of them opening for David Bowie and Bob Dylan and even U2; it\u2019s high time to see BoDeans on a stage.<\/p>\n
