Winter Garden (Fla.) Windermere<\/a> four-star cornerback CJ Bronaugh<\/a> flipped from Nebraska<\/a> to Florida<\/a> in June. He remains pledged to the Gators despite last weekend\u2019s firing of Billy Napier<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Florida\u2019s 2026 class has remained in-tact for now, but programs are gunning to flip many of the top names in the fold. That includes Bronaugh, who now has an offer from Ohio State<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The 6-foot-1, 175-pounder announced the offer from secondary coach Tim Walton<\/a> and the Buckeyes on Saturday:<\/p>\n

Lettermen Row reported<\/a> on Friday that Walton was expected to be in the Sunshine State to see Bronaugh. The Buckeyes are now officially in the mix.<\/p>\n

Bronaugh is currently the fourth highest-ranked commit in Florida\u2019s class that ranks No. 13 nationally, per the Rivals Industry Team Recruiting Rankings<\/a>. He\u2019s one of three blue-chip defensive backs committed to the Gators.<\/p>\n

Ohio State also has a loaded secondary haul and recently flipped three-star safety Khmari Bing<\/a> from Maryland. Bing joins elite four-star safety Blaine Bradford<\/a>, four-star safety Simeon Caldwell<\/a> and four-star corner Jordan Thomas<\/a>. Bronaugh would be another welcomed addition to a class that currently ranks No. 9 in the nation.<\/p>\n

Bronaugh is the No. 115 overall prospect and No. 15 corner in the 2026 cycle, according to the\u00a0Rivals Industry Ranking<\/a>, a weighted average that utilizes all major recruiting media companies. He\u2019s also the No. 16 player in Florida.<\/p>\n

Once it was announced that Napier was relieved of his duties in Gainesville, Bronaugh told Rivals: \u201cI\u2019m going to stay committed for right now.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m sad for coach Napier but my dad says its part of the business,\u201d he then told Rivals\u2019 Adam Gorney<\/a>. \u201cI\u2019m still a Gator but I\u2019ve heard from several Big Ten, SEC and ACC schools.\u201d<\/p>\n

Scout\u2019s Take on CJ Bronaugh<\/p>\n

Upon making a big jump in the Rivals300 rankings earlier this year, Bronaugh earned high praise from Director of Scouting and Rankings Charles Power:<\/p>\n

\u201cCJ Bronaugh is one of the fastest prospects in the cycle,\u201d Power wrote. \u201cI think he would contend as the fastest prospect we\u2019ve seen to this point in the cycle, at least among blue-chip types. State champion in the 100 and 200-meters and has already ran a 10.3 time in the 100-meters as a junior. In addition to the high-end speed, he played really well as a junior, came down with six interceptions and looks to have solid size.
