(<a href=\"http:\/\/www.wbrc.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">WBRC<\/a>) &#8211; The Jacksonville Police Department is investigating after a vehicle pursuit from a burglary scene early Tuesday morning, March 24.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | text-start article-text\">Around 3:21 a.m., Jacksonville Police Chief Marcus Wood said they were alerted to an alarm at Edwards Grocery located on Alabama Highway 204.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | text-start article-text\">When arriving at the location, an officer observed a car parked in front of the business and saw someone getting in the rear passenger side door.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | text-start article-text\">The officer pulled into the parking lot of the store. That\u2019s when police say the car fled the scene toward West Point Road on Alabama Highway 204.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | text-start article-text\">The officer observed damage to the front door of the business and a large item believed to be a safe outside.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | text-start article-text\">That\u2019s when the officer began a vehicle pursuit with the suspect vehicle, which police said was occupied by at least two people.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | text-start article-text\">The incident remains under investigation.
