Ultra Music Festival is officially taking over Bayfront Park this weekend, and the bass is already thumping across the 305. DJ stars are flying in from all over the world, andone local legend is having the ultimate \u201cfull circle\u201d moment. We\u2019re talking about Mal\u00f3ne Morez. He\u2019s a former athlete who traded his baseball glove for headphones. Deco caught up with Miami\u2019s man of the hour.<\/p>\n
In Miami, we certainly know how to party. But nobody knows the \u201csunrise vibe\u201d quite like Mal\u00f3ne Morez.<\/p>\n
He\u2019s a resident DJ at Space \u2014 the legendary downtown Miami club.<\/p>\n
Mal\u00f3ne Morez: \u201cI just remember having so many amazing nights with my friends, with my wife, just partying there.\u201d<\/p>\n
Before he was commanding the terrace, Mal\u00f3ne was busy chasing a different kind of dream.<\/p>\n
Mal\u00f3ne Morez: \u201cI played minor league baseball as well. I played baseball my entire life. And then coincidentally, when my baseball career was over, that\u2019s when the whole EDM boom was exploding.\u201d<\/p>\n
Now he\u2019s up to bat at the biggest EDM stage in the world: Ultra Miami.<\/p>\n
Mal\u00f3ne Morez: \u201cAnd I\u2019ve been going to Ultra now, I think, maybe 14 years, every single year, for 14 years as a regular fan. I have goosebumps just thinking about it. Funny enough, I played Ultra Peru last year for the first time, which was an amazing experience. But I hadn\u2019t had the opportunity to play Ultra Miami.\u201d<\/p>\n
Fans will get a taste of Mal\u00f3ne\u2019s new track, \u201cRushin.\u201d<\/p>\n
