BROWARD COUNTY, Fla. \u2014 On Tuesday, Camille Willoughby said she was heartbroken for her 5-year-old son, who will have to grow up without a father. <\/p>\n
Her ex-husband Humphrey Willoughby died in the hospital after a fight with Wayne Brutton over a hit-and-run crash on Sunday<\/a> in Broward County. He was 50<\/a>. <\/p>\n \u201cHumphrey was in a hit-and-run accident, and the guy caught up with him, and they had a fight, and he fell, and hit his head, and he is deceased,\u201d Camille Willoughby said. <\/p>\n Broward Sheriff\u2019s Office deputies and Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue personnel responded shortly after 8:30 p.m. on Sunday near the 300 block of Northwest 29th Terrace. <\/p>\n \u201cNobody should die like that,\u201d Camille Willoughby said. \u201cA car can be fixed. It\u2019s something that could have been worked out without people getting into an altercation and killing somebody over something that could have been prevented.\u201d<\/p>\n Brutton, 57, was at the Broward County Main Jail on Tuesday morning in Fort Lauderdale, according to inmate records.<\/p>\n Brutton faced a manslaughter charge.
