FORT MYERS, Fla. (WINK)\u2014A Fort Myers business owner says break-ins are becoming a frustrating reality after their shop was hit overnight again, this time leading to a police chase and at least two arrests.<\/p>\n
Cloud Factory owners Al and Jennifer Amir say they’re exhausted. Surveillance video shows three people pulling up in the middle of the night on Tuesday, forcing their way inside, grabbing merchandise, then running back to a car.<\/p>\n
“We got woken up out of bed because we hear the alarm going off\u2026 and obviously, it’s not an employee at three in the morning,” Jennifer Amir said.<\/p>\n
The couple watched it all unfold in real time. After calling 911 and while rushing to their store, they kept their eyes on the surveillance feed.<\/p>\n
“We were watching them as we were driving over there,” Al Amir said.<\/p>\n
About $2,500 in merchandise was stolen and another $1,500 in damage was left behind. The door has since been repaired.<\/p>\n
The owners say the real issue is the repeat offenses. The last break-in was just months ago.<\/p>\n
“Annoyed that it has happened again and again,” Jennifer Amir said.<\/p>\n
Al Amir says the pattern doesn’t make sense.<\/p>\n
“They keep trying and they always get caught,” he said. “It just doesn’t make sense what goes through people’s minds.”<\/p>\n
The owners say they are grateful deputies responded so fast. But they also say they’re tired of constantly having to recover.<\/p>\n
