TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – The Florida A&M football team returned to practice on Tuesday after a week off for Spring Break, and it showed.<\/p>\n
Head coach Quinn Gray said the tempo was not where it needed to be, but his Rattlers have time to get it right.<\/p>\n
The head coach, in his first season in the role, emphasized the importance of quarterback Isaiah Knowles knowing the system to get the offense rolling. <\/p>\n
Gray said so far, this team has adjusted to the new coaching staff and a new way of doing things. Now it\u2019s just about continuing to get better as the end of spring ball approaches.<\/p>\n
\u201cHelping them understand what we\u2019re looking for and looking forward to being in terms of our identity in the program because you know, we\u2019re looking for tough people. We\u2019re looking for mentally tough people as well as physically tough and then we just want to make sure we\u2019re helping them understand what Rattler football really is and what it should look like,\u201d said Gray.<\/p>\n
Florida A&M\u2019s third scrimmage is Saturday. The Rattlers spring game is set for Friday, April 3.<\/p>\n
