A major rehabilitation project by Miami-Dade County’s Department of Transportation and Public Works on the West Bridges and William Powell Bridge along the Rickenbacker Causeway is expected to last 36 months, starting later this spring.<\/p>\n
Repairing structural deficiencies, both at and below the driving surface, will ensure the long-term safety of the bridges.<\/p>\n

Local residents are invited to attend a virtual public meeting from 6:30-8 p.m., on Thursday, March 26.<\/p>\n
The meeting will provide residents and businesses with information on the project design, construction plans and expected impacts.<\/p>\n
What to expect:<\/p>\n
\u2022 Construction is expected to begin this spring<\/p>\n
\u2022\u00a0Project duration is estimated at approximately 36 months<\/p>\n
\u2022\u00a0At least one lane will remain open at all times<\/p>\n
\u2022\u00a0Temporary overnight lane closures may occur to limit daytime traffic disruptions<\/p>\n
The work will take place along the Rickenbacker Causeway bridges over the Intracoastal Waterway near Key Biscayne.<\/p>\n
Residents and stakeholders are encouraged to attend the meeting to learn more and share feedback.<\/p>\n
