ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. \u2014 A Hillsborough County deputy is suspended and facing multiple charges after he got physical with a woman and threatened her with a gun, the sheriff’s office said.<\/p>\n
HCSO said this happened around 5:45 a.m. Tuesday, when 45\u2011year\u2011old Deputy Brian Juliano was arrested by St. Pete police.<\/p>\n
Detectives say Juliano got in a verbal and physical fight with a woman and threatened her with a gun, preventing her from leaving the home or calling 911.<\/p>\n
Juliano has been with the sheriff’s office since April 2020 and was assigned to the Department of Patrol Services.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis arrest is deeply concerning and does not reflect the standards we expect of our deputies,\u201d\u00a0Sheriff Chad Chronister said in a statement.\u00a0\u201cAny actions that violate the law or the trust of our community will be met with swift and decisive accountability. We will continue to cooperate fully with the investigating agency.\u201d<\/p>\n
Juliano faces charges including armed kidnapping, aggravated assault, aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and tampering with a witness.
