Artistic dialogue turns into something resembling a visual volley in a new Ybor City exhibit. <\/p>\n

Starting next week, Tempus Projects<\/a> at the Kress Collective in Ybor City presents \u201cAwkward Transactions,\u201d a collaborative exhibition by photographer Wallace Wilson and painter Lisa McCarthy. <\/p>\n

Wilson starts the conversation with large-scale photographs taken in everyday places, then McCarthy steps in with the \u201cresponse,\u201d painting directly onto the prints. <\/p>\n

Rather than neatly finishing the images, McCarthy traces, interrupts and layers over Wilson\u2019s photos, letting each piece evolve through the push and pull of mediums.\u00a0 <\/p>\n

There is no cover for \u201cAwkward Transactions,\u201d which runs next Thursday, April 2 through May 28 at Tempus Projects in Ybor City.<\/a><\/p>\n
