Three people were arrested in connection to an organized theft scheme targeting a Tampa-based alcohol distribution company.

According to the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office, the company reported an ongoing internal theft on March 12.

Detectives say the scheme began a month earlier, when warehouse associates concealed cases of the high-end liquor while working overnight shifts. The liquor was then loaded onto a delivery truck and driven off.

The delivery driver reportedly made unauthorized stops along his route where the liquor was transferred to a vehicle operated by another suspect, who then drove it to a home in Wimauma.

The liquor was stored and sold from the home on Alistar Manor Drive. Detectives obtained a search warrant for the home and reportedly recovered $75,000 worth of stolen liquor on March 25.

Detectives arrested 54-year-old Darrell Glass, 31-year-old Mario Bancroft and 45-year-old Lateisha Glass. A 2022 Toyota Corolla used during the crime was also seized.

“This case highlights the calculated efforts of individuals who exploited their positions for personal gain,” Sheriff Chad Chronister said in a statement. “Thanks to the diligence of our detectives and the cooperation of the victim company, those responsible are now facing serious consequences.”

The suspects face multiple charges, including organized fraud, grand theft and dealing in stolen property.

Three people were arrested in connection to an organized theft scheme targeting a Tampa-based alcohol distribution company.
