The latest round of “No Kings” protests<\/a>, a nationwide series of rallies opposing President Donald Trump and his administration, is planned for this Saturday, March 28.<\/p>\n

Advocacy groups say the marches are intended\u00a0<\/a>to highlight concerns over immigration enforcement, voting rights, economic issues and other policies, while also emphasizing free speech and the First Amendment.<\/p>\n

“As President Trump escalates his attempts to control us, it is on us, the people, to show that we will fight to protect one another and our country,” the official No Kings website said.<\/p>\n

Organizers say more than 3,000 nonviolent protests<\/a> are expected nationwide, potentially making the mobilization one of the largest single-day protest actions in recent U.S. history.<\/p>\n

The demonstrations mark the third major national day of action<\/a> in the No Kings movement, which organizers say has grown steadily since its first mobilization drew more than five million people last June.<\/p>\n
