LARGO, Fla. \u2014 A man was arrested Friday after officials say he “intentionally” struck his wife with a vehicle and fled the scene.<\/p>\n
At around 3 a.m., the Largo Police Department received a 911 call for a battery on Ulmerton Road. Investigators learned that a woman was struck by her husband, Dervante Stubbs, 32, with a vehicle.<\/p>\n
Police say the woman was taken to a local hospital for significant injuries, and as of the latest update, she is stable. She reportedly told police that Stubbs would be trying to flee the country.<\/p>\n
Stubbs was tracked and found in Broward County, where authorities say he was arrested for attempted homicide a few hours later.\u00a0<\/p>\n
He is currently awaiting transport to the Pinellas County Jail, officials say.<\/p>\n
