(Atlanta News First) \u2014 A Children\u2019s Healthcare of Atlanta ambulance was involved in a multi-vehicle crash on I-85 North in Gwinnett County Thursday afternoon.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The accident happened near the I-985 NB split around 1:30 p.m., closing all northbound lanes for about an hour and a half, according to the Georgia State Patrol (GSP).<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">A spokesperson for Children\u2019s Healthcare confirmed one of its ambulances was involved in the crash. The spokesperson said no patients were in the ambulance and the crew was not seriously injured.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"figure-img img-fluid mx-auto d-block\" alt=\"I-85 crash\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/3KVNRLMJTNAETCUSE5QKEXQRUI.jpg\" width=\"980\" height=\"551\" \/>I-85 crash(Georgia Department of Transportation)<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">According to GSP, the driver of a Ram 1500 hit the front of the ambulance while changing lanes improperly before hitting a utility trailer hauled by an F-250. The F-250 then hit the ambulance before sideswiping a GMC Sierra. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The occupants of the Ram 1500 were taken to a hospital for minor injuries, GSP said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">This is a developing story.
