Sean Holder has sat in the Broward County Main Jail for more than a month on murder, grand theft and battery charges after he allegedly stole an SUV, leading to a pursuit that ended with an innocent motorist dying in a crash with a BSO deputy.<\/p>\n
Now, the Broward State Attorney\u2019s Office has tacked on more than a dozen more criminal charges Thursday for actions Holder, 30, took during the fatal Feb. 16 incident.<\/p>\n
Holder is facing 33 charges, up from the original five he was given when he was arrested. They include 16 counts of aggravated fleeing and eluding a law enforcement officer; one count of leaving the scene of a crash involving a death, and three counts of reckless driving causing property damage.<\/p>\n

Margate police officers were on the lookout for a stolen gray Jeep Cherokee. A BSO deputy spotted it, being driven by Holder, and followed it to a Flanigan\u2019s, an arrest report read.<\/p>\n Holder sped up and crashed through a closed gate in the restaurant\u2019s parking lot. The chase began with a BSO helicopter overhead.<\/p>\n Holder would eventually reverse and crash into BSO Deputy Robert Acosta\u2019s cruiser. This would trigger dozens of deputies to swarm the area and join the chase.<\/p>\n During the pursuit, a deputy\u2019s patrol car and a vehicle not involved in the chase crashed into each other. Paramedics took the deputy, the driver of the other car and a passenger to a hospital, BSO said. Ronald Wilbert Wilson, the driver, later died, six days before his 74th birthday.<\/p>\n
