Tiger Woods has been released from jail on bail following his dramatic rollover crash<\/a> in Florida and subsequent DUI arrest<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The defeated-looking five-time Masters champion, 50, was spotted sitting in the front passenger seat of a Cadillac SUV after sneaking out a back door of the Martin County jail in a bid to avoid the media just before midnight on Friday.<\/p>\n

Woods spent approximately eight hours in police custody after he was involved in a rollover crash while driving his Land Rover SUV in Jupiter Island, Fla., on Friday afternoon, authorities said during a press conference earlier in the day.<\/p>\n

\u201cWoods showed signs of impairment and refused a urinalysis test, leading to charges of DUI with property damage and refusal to submit to a lawful test,\u201d Sheriff John Budensiek said\u00a0during a press conference<\/a> hours later, adding that a breathalyzer came back negative for alcohol.<\/p>\n

The golf legend had been attempting to pass a pressure cleaner truck when he allegedly clipped the \u201cback end\u201d\u00a0of the truck\u2019s trailer, rolling his own vehicle.<\/p>\n

Photographs from the scene showed the Land Rover on its side, and Woods himself in a blue shirt and sunglasses, making a phone call following the incident<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The rollover happened just after 2 p.m. near Beach Road.<\/p>\n

A source told Page Six on Friday that neither Vanessa Trump \u2014 whom the athlete is romantically involved with \u2014 nor Vanessa\u2019s\u00a0daughter, Kai<\/a>,\u00a0were\u00a0with him at the time of the crash<\/a>.<\/p>\n

A rep for the champion golfer did not immediately respond to Page Six\u2019s request for comment on the crash.<\/p>\n

After more than a year away from the sport, Woods returned to golf earlier this week to compete in the TGL Finals.<\/p>\n

In February 2021, Woods rolled another SUV<\/a> while driving in Palos Verdes, Los Angeles. <\/p>\n

Sheriff Alex Villanueva said at the time that Woods was \u201cnot able to get up,\u201d though he was \u201cable to communicate\u201d following the near-deadly crash, while Deputy Carlos Gonzalez\u00a0noted that he was \u201cvery fortunate\u201d to be \u201cable to\u00a0come out of this alive.\u201d<\/p>\n

His injuries\u00a0from the California rollover<\/a> necessitated multiple back, knee, and leg surgeries over the past several years.<\/p>\n

He also ruptured his Achilles tendon last March, and seven months later in October, had a disc replacement.<\/p>\n

Woods\u2019 arrest on Friday wasn\u2019t his only Florida incident \u2014 he was also arrested in May 2017 in Jupiter on suspicion of\u00a0driving under the influence<\/a>.<\/p>\n

An incident report alleged the athlete \u201chad to be woken up\u201d after\u00a0falling asleep at the wheel<\/a>, and he was later released on his own recognizance.<\/p>\n

\u201cI understand the severity of what I did and take full responsibility for my actions,\u201d he said in part in a statement at the time.<\/p>\n

\u201cI want the public to know that alcohol was not involved. What happened was an unexpected reaction to prescribed medications. I didn\u2019t realize the mix of medications had affected me so strongly.\u201d<\/p>\n
