This week, the Boca Raton City Council unanimously approved a $500,000 economic incentive package for D-Wave.<\/p>\n The incentive package is performance-based and payments are tied to specific milestones, including the creation of 100 new jobs within five years. The positions are expected to offer an average salary of approximately $125,000 per year.<\/p>\n D-Wave also plans to expand its presence in Boca Raton through a partnership with Florida Atlantic University. The new community resource designed to bridge the digital divide and foster the next generation of Miami\u2019s creative and technical talent.<\/p>\n Thanks to a generous donation from the Matt & Lisa Allen Family Foundation, the center provides youth with free, year-round access to technology, professional mentorship, and career-readiness training. Myosin Therapeutics, headquartered in Jupiter, was selected for funding based on the scientific innovation and clinical potential of MT-125, the company\u2019s lead oncology therapeutic candidate.<\/p>\n \u201cThis funding helps support the continued progress of our trial and reflects the growing strength of Florida\u2019s life sciences community in advancing innovative cancer therapies,\u201d Myosin co-founder and CEO Courtney Miller said in a statement.<\/p>\n MT-125 is being developed for several treatment-resistant cancers, including acute myeloid leukemia and pancreatic cancer.
