A big part of Plant’s victory came down to the chemistry between Reese Pittman<\/a> and her top target Melina Torres<\/a>. Pittman threw for 307 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 10.6 yards per attempt while Torres picked up 136 receiving yards and a pair of TDs. Those 307 passing yards gave Pittman a new career-high.<\/p>\n

One reason for the win was Plant’s imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for three sacks. Kendall Mies<\/a> was particularly dangerous to the passing game, picking up two herself.<\/p>\n
