What was the best offseason move made by the Jacksonville Jaguars<\/a>?<\/p>\n Zoltan Buday of Pro Football Focus<\/a> recently answered that question for each NFL team. Considering it was such a quiet free agency period for the Jaguars<\/a>, there’s not a lot to choose from, and the answer to the above question is quite obvious — re-signing Montaric Brown.<\/p>\n “Towards the end of the 2025 campaign, he was practically Jacksonville\u2019s best cornerback in coverage,” wrote Buday. “He allowed a 69.3 passer rating, and his 74.0 PFF coverage grade ranked 21st among 109 qualifying cornerbacks.”<\/p>\n Brown took a big step forward last season, showcasing his abilities to start on a weekly basis and perform at a high level while doing so. No longer is drafting this position right away a must.<\/p>\n “When the [opportunity] presented itself again and he was available, he didn’t flinch,” James Gladstone said of Brown<\/a>. “And that carried through the course of the season and he made plays \u2014 plays on the\u00a0ball, plays on ball carriers that really made an important dent on\u00a0the outcome of a number of our games. And the marriage between the scheme, his\u00a0skill set, it’s a match that all of us are constantly looking for at\u00a0every position.”<\/p>\n Buday also highlighted his least favorite move for each NFL team, but did not make a selection in that category when it came to the Jaguars, given their overall lack of free agency moves.<\/p>\n
