A JUDGE SENTENCED ABRAHAM TO 50 YEARS BEHIND BARS AND HIS WESH TWO CHRISTINA WATKINS TELLS US. THE VICTIM\u2019S WIFE SAYS THIS IS JUSTICE. ERIC. SCHNITZER\u2019S FAMILY WAITED A LONG TIME FOR THIS DAY. HIS WIFE ECHOED A SIMILAR MESSAGE TO STATE ATTORNEY MONIQUE MOREL, SAYING, DON\u2019T LET ANGER GET THE BEST OF YOU WHILE YOU\u2019RE ON THE ROAD. JUST KEEP GOING, YOU KNOW, BE SAFE. HOLDING BACK TEARS, KERRY MCPHERSON TALKED ABOUT THE GRUELING COURT PROCESS FOR HER AND HER THREE SONS AS THEY WAITED TO FIND OUT HOW LONG THEIR DAD\u2019S KILLER WOULD SPEND BEHIND BARS. IT\u2019S BEEN NONSTOP WITH THE DELAYS AND THE. EVERYTHING WITH THE CASE, SO IT\u2019S BEEN EXHAUSTING. SO IT\u2019S A RELIEF TO FINALLY KNOW THAT IT HAS BEEN SERVED. THE ROAD RAGE SHOOTING HAPPENED IN JULY OF 2020. PROSECUTORS SAY NAEL ABRAHAM CHASED ERIC SCHNITZER THROUGH TRAFFIC BEFORE PULLING ALONGSIDE HIS CAR. THIS IS ON ORANGE BLOSSOM TRAIL AND CONSULATE DRIVE. INVESTIGATORS SAID ABRAHAM SHOT INTO SCHNITZER\u2019S CAR, KILLING HIM. WE\u2019RE HERE FOR THE SENTENCING OF MR. ABRAHAM. ON FRIDAY, A JUDGE SENTENCED ABRAHAM TO 50 YEARS IN PRISON WITH CREDIT FOR TIME SERVED. ABRAHAM\u2019S FAMILY WATCHED HIM WALK AWAY IN A BLUE JUMPSUIT AND HANDCUFFS. HIS ATTORNEY SAID THEY HAVE QUESTIONS AND THEY\u2019RE DISAPPOINTED. THEY WERE QUESTIONING PRIMARILY WHY A SENTENCE OF THAT MAGNITUDE WAS IMPOSED, AND I EXPLAINED THAT THE JUDGE DIDN\u2019T OFFER AN EXPLANATION, SO I COULDN\u2019T REALLY PROVIDE ONE TO HER. STATE ATTORNEY MONIQUE WORRELL SAYS TWO FAMILIES ARE NOW LEFT GRIEVING, AND THIS CASE SERVES AS A PAINFUL REMINDER OF THE DANGERS OF ROAD RAGE WHEN TENSIONS ARISE ON THE ROAD. DISENGAGE.
