HIALEAH, FLA. (WSVN) – A shooting left one person dead in Hialeah early Saturday morning, and now are witnesses speaking out.<\/p>\n
Hialeah Police swarmed the area where the shooting took place and cordoned it off with police cars and crime scene tape.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt was like a machine gun,\u201d said Hialeah resident Omar Perez, who heard the shooting.<\/p>\n
When police arrived, they found a man lying on the ground, who was unresponsive and with injuries.<\/p>\n
Hialeah Fire Rescue later pronounced the man dead.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt seems like he got out of the car and then was shot to death,\u201d said Perez.<\/p>\n
Hialeah Police are now calling the incident a homicide.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe detective was in my house looking for who had seen anything before. I didn\u2019t see anything, it was locked inside the house, and the camera didn\u2019t pick up anything.\u201d said Delia, a resident.<\/p>\n
\u201cI thought it was a dream, but it was gunshots. The windows were rattling because it was a shootout, it seems they hit the man with a burst of gunfire.\u201d said Perez.<\/p>\n
Police have not released any information about the victim, or given any details about the incident, as they continue to investigate.<\/p>\n
7News has reached out to Hialeah Police to find out about the victim\u2019s injuries, but police did not as of Sunday afternoon.<\/p>\n
