A man who died following a March 28 shooting incident was identified as 79-year-old T.H. Robertson, an Indian River County Sheriff\u2019s spokesperson said.<\/p>\n
The 5:29 a.m. incident happened in the 8500 block of 64th Avenue in the Wabasso area, the agency stated. The location is northwest of the Indian River County Fairgrounds & Expo Center. <\/p>\n
Sheriff\u2019s officials went to the scene for a report of shots fired, said Lt. Kevin Jaworski, sheriff\u2019s spokesperson.<\/p>\n

Indian River County Sheriff\u2019s officials are on the scene of a shooting on 64th Avenue in Wabasso, March 28, 2026. Sheriff Eric Flowers said the shooting happened at about 5:30 a.m., where they received a call of shots fired and found a male lying on the scene. He was transported to the emergency room where he succumbed to his injuries, Flowers said in a video posted to Indian River County Sheriff\u2019s Office\u2019s Facebook page.<\/p>\n
\u201cWhen deputies got on scene, that’s when they located the male and immediately started rendering aid,\u201d Jaworski said.<\/p>\n
The man publicly was identified March 30 as Robertson.<\/p>\n
Jaworksi said the man was found outside behind his home. The sheriff\u2019s office reported he sustained several gunshot wounds.<\/p>\n
