Howard Ave. in SoHo, redeveloping the former <a href=\"https:\/\/tbbwmag.com\/2025\/11\/19\/fresh-kitchen-seed-oil-free-menu-update\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Fresh Kitchen<\/a> site with a planned 2027 debut.<\/p>\n<p>The Denmark-based chain will replace <a href=\"https:\/\/tbbwmag.com\/2024\/10\/29\/fresh-kitchen-open-near-usf\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Fresh Kitchen\u2019s<\/a> original location, which was destroyed in a July 2024 fire and later demolished. The 0.08-acre site sold for $425,000 in September 2025 and requires rezoning approval.<\/p>\n<p>Joe &amp; The Juice operates more than 360 locations worldwide and is expanding in the U.S. with backing from General Atlantic, which took a majority stake in 2023. <\/p>\n<p>The brand sells juices, coffee and sandwiches and has gained traction in U.S. markets, including around its Tunacado sandwich, which has taken off on social media. <\/p>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1000\" height=\"563\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/Untitled-2-76-1000x563.jpeg\" alt=\"Rendering of Joe &amp; The Juice planned for South Howard Avenue in Tampa\u2019s SoHo district\" class=\"wp-image-90303\"  \/>Rendering shows Joe &amp; The Juice planned for the former Fresh Kitchen site on South Howard Avenue in Tampa\u2019s SoHo district.<\/p>\n<p>Its Tampa entry follows other l<a href=\"https:\/\/tbbwmag.com\/2026\/02\/12\/pura-vida-miami-water-street-tampa\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">ifestyle-focused caf\u00e9<\/a> concepts moving into the market from South Florida.<\/p>\n<p>Sources familiar with the project say the location gives the brand access to <a href=\"https:\/\/tbbwmag.com\/2025\/12\/18\/hyde-park-mixed-use-development-loan\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Hyde Park Village\u2019s<\/a> customer base without falling under its tenant restrictions.<\/p>\n<p>The site is within minutes of the University of Tampa, South Howard\u2019s nightlife district and downtown Tampa, placing it in a high-traffic corridor aligned with the brand\u2019s target customer.<\/p>\n<p>Parking is the main hurdle. The site is small, limiting on-site capacity and making parking the central issue in the rezoning request, as it was for Fresh Kitchen.
