Mignonette, a beloved neighborhood bistro in Miami\u2019s Edgewater<\/a>, has closed its doors, and you\u2019re not the only one who\u2019s upset.<\/p>\n The owner, acclaimed chef Danny Serfer, made the announcement on Instagram Saturday. The nearly 12-year-old restaurant\u2019s last night of service was Sunday.<\/p>\n The must-try spot was known for its chill vibe, amazing seafood (including oysters sourced from both coasts) and killer wine and beer offerings. For a brief time during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic when restaurants were shut down all over town, Mignonette was able to pivot<\/a> and transform into an Italian takeout place, with great success.<\/p>\n \u201cAfter more than a decade of memories, laughter, and unforgettable moments, it\u2019s time for us to say goodbye,\u201d Serfer\u2019s post said. \u201cThis restaurant has been so much more than a place to eat. It\u2019s been a home.\u201d<\/p>\n Commenters, many of whom were regulars or had celebrated special occasions at the New Orleans-inspired gem (a former gas station), look like they may need a support group.<\/p>\n \u201cLife changing dinner experience, and thank you forever.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cNooooo don\u2019t make this trueeee.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cMy favorite spot and the best kept secret for the best seafood in Miami. So sad to see this news. … My wife and I had one of our very first dates there and it will forever be a core memory for us. Congratulations on an amazing run.\u201d<\/p>\n Serfer, who also ran Mignonette in North Miami Beach that shut in 2017, didn\u2019t give a reason for the sudden move, and a rep didn\u2019t immediately respond to a request for comment.
