The 4th annual Soul Revival Festival<\/a> is back in St. Pete! This year\u2019s festivities are spread across three different locations on three separate days. Taking place April 17-19, the festival operates with the goal of spreading awareness and gathering the community together. Founded by Myiah Pink<\/a>, a known creative in St. Pete, she hopes that Soul Revival this year will create different layers of engagement.\u00a0<\/p>\n

It\u2019s the first time Soul Revival will be a three-day experience, and each day offers something different. Friday is a kickoff celebrating at SPC\u2019s Midtown campus, Saturday is an Art Gala Brunch at The James Museum of Western & Wildlife Art, and Sunday caps things off with the Soul Revival Creative Wellness Festival on The Deuces.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re being more intentional,\u201d Pink says. \u201cThe kickoff event focuses on education and awareness, the gala brunch celebrates art and healing, and the outdoor festival invites the community to experience creative wellness through interactive art activities.\u201d<\/p>\n

They also want to include more hands-on and participatory activities, where people can create and engage with art rather than just watch performances.<\/p>\n

Inspiration behind the festival<\/p>\n

Soul revival was inspired by Pink\u2019s late aunt, LaMetra Moody, who lived with sickle cell disease.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cWatching her journey gave me a deeper understanding of how much strength people with sickle cell carry every day, but also how little awareness there is about the disease,\u201d Pink said.<\/p>\n

She believes in the healing power of creativity and wants to create something that brings people together through different forms of art while also raising awareness and support for sickle cell.<\/p>\n

\u201cSoul Revival became a way to honor her legacy while building a space where people can experience healing, expression, and community.\u201d<\/p>\n

The significance of healing<\/p>\n

Soul Revival is really about reminding people that healing can happen in many forms. Their main mission is to bridge the gap between art and wellness as well as wanting people to leave feeling inspired.<\/p>\n

A portion of the proceeds from Soul Revival goes toward supporting the local chapter of the Sickle Cell Disease Association of America in St. Petersburg.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe also work closely with them to ensure that education and lived experience are included in the festival programming,\u201d Pink explained. \u201cThis year, we\u2019re also honoring their president for her continued work advocating for individuals and families impacted by sickle cell.\u201d<\/p>\n

When?<\/p>\n

Soul Revival will take place April 17\u201319, 2026, as a three-day weekend experience. Each location was chosen intentionally.<\/p>\n
