\n\t\t\tFor the first time in over 25 years, an airline will offer nonstop service from Tampa International Airport to San Jose, Costa Rica. Breeze also will launch their first flights from TPA to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic.\n\t\t<\/p>\n
Breeze Airways has delivered not one, but TWO new international nonstop routes from America’s Favorite Airport, with flights from TPA to San Jose (SJO) in Costa Rica and Punta Cana (PUJ) in the Dominican Republic.<\/p>\n
The service to San Jose has long been a goal of the Airport, and marks the return of the Costa Rican destination to TPA for the first time in more than 25 years.\u00a0The capital of Costa Rica offers connections that will benefit both business and leisure travelers, as well as the many Tampa Bay area families with ties to the Central American nation. Costa Rica ranks as Florida\u2019s ninth-largest trade partner, with about 3,000 Costa Rican-born residents calling Tampa Bay home.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Flights to Punta Cana start July 2 and will operate on Thursdays and Sundays. This route is currently served by JetBlue and Frontier. \u00a0<\/p>\n
Service to San Jose Begins October 3 and will operate on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Breeze will be the only carrier offering this route.\u00a0<\/p>\n

With the addition of these new routes, Breeze’s growing international presence will double at TPA from two destinations to four. The airline is\u00a0due to launch\u00a0<\/a>nonstop flights to Nassau, The Bahamas, on June 11 and\u00a0plans to offer service<\/a>\u00a0to Montego Bay, Jamaica, beginning December 19, after a delay caused by Hurricane Melissa’s 2025 landfall in western Jamaica.<\/p>\n \u201cThis announcement doubles the number of international destinations Breeze serves from Tampa, making it easy for our guests to visit great places across Central America and the Caribbean,\u201d said David Neeleman, founder and CEO of Breeze Airways. \u201cWith Breeze\u2019s premium product offering and affordable fares, we know our guests in Tampa will love this new and convenient international service.\u201d<\/p>\n
