A limited-time exhibit at the Orlando Science Center goes beyond the spacesuit and gets you to know astronauts in a whole new way. Art in Space showcases artwork from 7 astronauts, including Nicole Stott, who\u2019s also the curator.<\/p>\n<p>2. Christina Korp is Stott\u2019s dear friend and partner, having founded the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.spaceforabetterworld.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Space for a Better World<\/a>\u00a0nonprofit. Before that, Korp managed legendary astronaut Buzz Aldrin for 12 years. Instead of referring to her role as manager, she says \u201castronaut wrangler\u201d is a more fitting title. \u201cA lot of my friends don\u2019t like it,\u201d she laughed. \u201cBut the astronauts are like, um, accurate!\u201d referring to their eclectic and jam-packed lifestyles.<\/p>\n<p>3. Korp also has a notable resume. \u201cI sang on Ringo Starr Records. I toured the world. But then I had to get a \u2018real job,\u201d meaning, Aldrin needed a manager. \u201cI knew nothing about space. I just knew he was an old dude who walked on the moon and needed somebody to help with his media branding and appearances,\u201d she said<\/p>\n<p>4. Among the pieces of art on display is Stott\u2019s painting, which is the first watercolor in space using a special tool from a NASA tech. \u201c[The tech] actually suited up the Apollo astronauts. He suited her up, and then he gave her his paintbrush to take to space.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>5. The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.osc.org\/visit\/exhibits\/fusion-gallery\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Space for Art<\/a>\u00a0exhibit is on display only a few more days, until April 4,\u00a02026. Just head to the 3rd floor.
