ESTERO, Fla. (WINK) \u2014 The Lee County Sheriff\u2019s Office, along with other first responders are on the scene attending to a two-vehicle crash that has closed Carter and Corkscrew roads in Estero.<\/p>\n

Law enforcement responded to the scene at around 5 p.m. on Tuesday, where they closed Corkscrew Road from Lazy D Farm Road to Six LS Farm Road.<\/p>\n

Motorists are asked to avoid the area until further notice.<\/p>\n

WINK News reporter Jillian Haggerty is en route to the scene to gather more information and provide traffic updates whenever they become available.<\/p>\n

A crash witness spoke with WINK News, saying that they communicated with a Lee County Sheriff’s Office deputy. They say that five people have been injured and that the road will remain close for a “couple” hours.<\/p>\n

The witness then added that the five injured has been transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.<\/p>\n

WINK News is working to confirm that information with the sheriff’s office.\u00a0<\/p>\n
