{"id":213835,"date":"2026-04-01T00:27:08","date_gmt":"2026-04-01T00:27:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/213835\/"},"modified":"2026-04-01T00:27:08","modified_gmt":"2026-04-01T00:27:08","slug":"massive-recall-in-florida-after-bread-products-found-with-metal-fragments","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/213835\/","title":{"rendered":"Massive recall in Florida after bread products found with \u2018metal fragments\u2019"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"dist__Box-sc-1fnzlkn-0 dist__TextBase-sc-1fnzlkn-3 bYFsJw cuqaEv article-text\">ORLANDO, Fla. \u2013 There\u2019s a major recall going on in Florida after several products were found with \u201cmetal fragments,\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/www.usatoday.com\/story\/grocery\/2026\/03\/30\/trader-joes-pizza-recall-metal-fragments\/89390513007\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.usatoday.com\/story\/grocery\/2026\/03\/30\/trader-joes-pizza-recall-metal-fragments\/89390513007\/\">according to USA Today<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"dist__Box-sc-1fnzlkn-0 dist__TextBase-sc-1fnzlkn-3 bYFsJw cuqaEv article-text\">The recall is focused on several ready-to-eat pizza and bread products sold in 10 states, including the Sunshine State.<\/p>\n<p class=\"dist__Box-sc-1fnzlkn-0 dist__TextBase-sc-1fnzlkn-3 bYFsJw cuqaEv article-text\">A <a href=\"https:\/\/www.accessdata.fda.gov\/scripts\/ires\/?Event=98311\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.accessdata.fda.gov\/scripts\/ires\/?Event=98311\">recall notice from the FDA<\/a> shows that food manufacturer Bakkavor initiated a voluntary recall back in January, though the federal agency kicked that up to a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fda.gov\/safety\/industry-guidance-recalls\/recalls-background-and-definitions\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.fda.gov\/safety\/industry-guidance-recalls\/recalls-background-and-definitions\">Class II designation<\/a>, intended for situations where exposure could cause \u201cmedically reversible adverse health consequences.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"dist__Box-sc-1fnzlkn-0 dist__TextBase-sc-1fnzlkn-3 bYFsJw cuqaEv article-text\">[BELOW: Over 100 roaches, hundreds of droppings found at Orlando Chinese restaurant]<\/p>\n<p class=\"dist__Box-sc-1fnzlkn-0 dist__TextBase-sc-1fnzlkn-3 bYFsJw cuqaEv article-text\">Per USA Today, the recall involves slow-roasted tomatoes used in the products, which FDA officials said had been found to possibly contain \u201cmetal fragments.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"dist__Box-sc-1fnzlkn-0 dist__TextBase-sc-1fnzlkn-3 bYFsJw cuqaEv article-text\">FDA officials said that over 25,000 cases had been impacted by the recall, including some sold by HelloFresh, Trader Joe\u2019s, Harris Teeter and Meijer.<\/p>\n<p class=\"dist__Box-sc-1fnzlkn-0 dist__TextBase-sc-1fnzlkn-3 bYFsJw cuqaEv article-text\">This recall covers several pizza and bread products with use-by dates that fall this year between April 27 and Oct. 15.
