Mater Lakes Academy is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they’ve averaged 11.5 runs per game this season.<\/p>\n Mater Lakes Academy fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against Calvary Christian Academy on Monday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 4-3.<\/p>\n Karol Aguilar<\/a> spent all seven innings on the mound, and it’s clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and two unearned) runs on eight hits and racked up seven Ks.<\/p>\n On the hitting side, Mater Lakes Academy saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Madison Jones<\/a>, who went 1-for-3 with one run.<\/p>\n Meanwhile, after soaring to ten runs the game before, Hialeah was a bit more limited in their game two weeks ago. They lost 17-2 to Goleman.<\/p>\n Hialeah’s defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Mater Lakes Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 5-3.<\/p>\n
