TAMPA, Fla. \u2014 There is a motion regarding the Tampa Bay Rays stadium pursuit on the agenda at Wednesday\u2019s Hillsborough County Commission meeting. \u00a0<\/p>\n
Per the motion, all county staff are being called upon to release any drafts and\/or notes concerning the Rays\u2019 stadium plans at Hillsborough College\u2019s north Dale Mabry Highway campus.<\/p>\n
That release has a deadline of 5 p.m. Wednesday.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, it\u2019s possible more movement toward a stadium in Tampa could happen later this month.<\/p>\n
County commissioners, as well as city council members, could take a vote on the\u00a0proposed $2.3 billion Tampa Bay Rays stadium deal in mid-April 2026, with meetings tentatively set for April 15 and 16.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The team is envisioning a mixed-used entertainment district that would include a domed stadium that can seat about 31,000 people. The entire development would stretch about 130 acres across the campus.<\/p>\n
The college campus is located across from Raymond James Stadium.
