MIAMI \u2014 Dr. Ron DeMeo, of Meridian Cosmetic<\/a> and Meridian Spine<\/a>, faced a second accusation of rape at his office in Miami, records showed.<\/p>\n

A detective met with the second victim, a 39-year-old woman, on March 19, 2026, to discuss a sexual assault on Sept. 21, 2023, in his office at 2801 SW 3rd Ave., in The Roads neighborhood, as her mother waited in the lobby, according to a police report. <\/p>\n

\u201cShe treated her mother to have some facial work done, and she herself scheduled to have Botox on her face,\u201d the detective wrote, adding that she also underwent a tattoo removal, according to the police report. <\/p>\n

The victim reported that the sexual assault happened while he persuaded her to go alone with him to get an ice pack for her face in a separate room, according to the police report. <\/p>\n

\u201cShe complied, fearing for her safety … when the incident was over, she exited the room and reunited with her mother … she did not mention the assault to her mother,\u201d the detective wrote, according to the report. <\/p>\n

On March 24, a detective questioned a woman who works at the doctor\u2019s office and described the 2023 victim as \u201ctiny\u201d and DeMeo as much taller.<\/p>\n

\u201cShe once saw a condom in a procedure room, and when she commented about it, the staff did not seem surprised … several clients (girls) have expressed that the defendant is touchy … if payment is collected or not necessary staff leaves,\u201d the woman told the detective, according to the police report. <\/p>\n

In the first case, the evidence against DeMeo included a video of a sexual assault on Oct. 25 at 2801 SW 3rd Ave., according to the first arrest report. <\/p>\n

The victim told police officers that DeMeo directed her to take a prescribed medication and inhale nitrous oxide, or nitro, for pain management before a cosmetic procedure, according to the police arrest report. <\/p>\n

\u201cA staff member offered her a glass of wine (something that\u2019s usually provided to patients), and she accepted it,\u201d a police officer wrote, according to the arrest report in the case. <\/p>\n

The victim remembers DeMeo \u201cclosing the blinds\u201d and \u201dfeeling as if she was pushed down … opening her eyes, and seeing [DeMeo] over her body … she did not have the strength to speak or fight back and just closed her eyes wanting the assault to end,” a police officer wrote, according to the arrest report.<\/p>\n

After DeMeo\u2019s first arrest, Miami-Dade corrections booked DeMeo shortly before 12:50 a.m. on March 19 at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center, according to inmate records. <\/p>\n

\u201cWe have a video of the incident clearly, clearly, not even any question, that this was a consensual encounter … the phone fell to the ground and automatically, or accidentally started recording,\u201d Attorney Daniel Lurvey, who was representing DeMeo in bond court, told Miami-Dade County Circuit Judge Mindy Glazer during a hearing. <\/p>\n

Lurvey told Glazer the victim in the case attempted to extort DeMeo for millions before she reported him to police. <\/p>\n

\u201cThis is a shakedown by this alleged victim, and I don\u2019t say these types of things very often, it\u2019s outrageous what is going on,\u201d Lurvey said about the first case.<\/p>\n

Glazer ordered a total lockdown house arrest, and ordered DeMeo to avoid practicing medicine while the case remains open. <\/p>\n

After the second victim came forward, DeMeo surrendered to police at 3 p.m. on March 31 at the Miami Police Department\u2019s headquarters at 400 NW 2nd Ave., in Downtown Miami, records show.<\/p>\n

On Tuesday, DeMeo had two pending criminal cases in Miami-Dade County with court orders to stay away from both victims. <\/p>\n

In the case prosecutors filed on March 19, DeMeo faced three counts of sexual battery committed on a victim who is physically helpless<\/a>. His bond was denied. <\/p>\n

In the case that prosecutors filed on Tuesday, DeMeo faced one count of sexual battery with no serious injury. His bond was $7,500. <\/p>\n

Miami-Dade County Circuit Judge Ariel Rodriguez was set to preside over both cases. <\/p>\n

According to the Florida Department of Health\u2019s license verification database, DeMeo began practicing in 1989; had staff privileges at Coral Gables Hospital and Palm Springs General Hospital in Hialeah; was also licensed to practice in Texas; and he had no public complaints, discipline cases, or emergency actions. <\/p>\n
