After nearly three decades of shaping Miami\u2019s electronic soundtrack and taking it to the rest of the world, Ultra Music Festival<\/a> now has something no lineup can top: its own official day.<\/p>\n Miami-Dade County<\/a> has declared March 28 as Ultra Music Festival <\/a>Day, recognizing the long-running event\u2019s cultural and economic impact. The announcement came via a joint Instagram<\/a> post from the festival and District 5 Commissioner Vicki Lopez, cementing Ultra\u2019s presence in the city and giving it civic relevance.<\/p>\n \u201cOn behalf of Miami-Dade County, we are proud to recognize Ultra Music Festival and its leadership for their continued commitment to innovation, sustainability, and community impact,\u201d Lopez wrote in her social media statement. \u201cTheir work not only elevates Miami on a global stage but also reflects the values and progress of Miami.\u201d<\/p>\n Founded in 1999 and named after Depeche Mode\u2019s 1997 album\u00a0Ultra, the festival has grown from a modest electronic gathering into one of the world\u2019s most recognizable EDM brands, even recruiting its own group of dancers<\/a>. And in 2026, it proved it still has staying power \u2014 selling out Bayfront Park yet again while pulling a cross-generational crowd of ravers, tourists, and industry insiders.<\/p>\n This year\u2019s edition delivered a heavy-hitting lineup, including Bizarrap<\/a>, Amelie Lens, Sara Landry, and the Martinez Brothers<\/a>.
