Fifteen years in, O, Miami Poetry Month is a citywide experiment in turning everyday life into art. Founded with the mission of having \u201cevery single person in Miami-Dade County encounter a poem\u201d during National Poetry Month, the monthlong festival ensures verse pops up in many forms \u2014 scribbled on a cocktail napkin, shouted into a karaoke mic, or quietly written at sunrise on Biscayne Bay.\u00a0<\/p>\n
This year\u2019s anniversary lineup leans into that spirit with a mix of playful, reflective, and quintessentially Miami moments. From moonlit open mics to fruit-based tattoo poetry, here are eight standout events worth penciling into your April calendar.<\/p>\n
Full Pink Moon 2026: O, Miami Poetry Festival Launch Party<\/p>\n
No time is wasted in setting the tone for O, Miami\u2019s 15th year, with a waterfront launch party timed to the Full Pink Moon. Expect a dreamy mix of telescope stargazing, an open mic dedicated to moon-themed poetry, and a reading by Mathias Svalina as part of his Dream Delivery Service.
