Founded with the mission of having “every single person in Miami-Dade County encounter a poem” during National Poetry Month, the monthlong festival ensures verse pops up in many forms — scribbled on a cocktail napkin, shouted into a karaoke mic, or quietly written at sunrise on Biscayne Bay.

This year’s anniversary lineup leans into that spirit with a mix of playful, reflective, and quintessentially Miami moments. From moonlit open mics to fruit-based tattoo poetry, here are eight standout events worth penciling into your April calendar.

Full Pink Moon 2026: O, Miami Poetry Festival Launch Party

No time is wasted in setting the tone for O, Miami’s 15th year, with a waterfront launch party timed to the Full Pink Moon. There’s also a first look at the festival’s reimagined full moon calendar, which feels very on-brand for a city that loves a little reinvention.
