took off with the 6-month-old pup inside<\/a>.<\/p>\n\u201cI was afraid that we would never see her again because I thought they were after the dog, not the car,\u201d said Kalagher. \u201cI was running in to see my friend for a moment; my little dog was on the seat, and I thought, \u2018I\u2019ll just leave her in the car.’\u201d<\/p>\n
The crook eventually dumped Coco not far from the home, where she was later found by a neighbor.<\/p>\n
\u201cShe was in a travel bag, and they threw her out, someone stopped because she was in the middle of the road, he gave her to someone else, and they took the dog to the vet,\u201d said Kalagher.<\/p>\n
The person who located Coco then took her to be cared for at an animal hospital in Hollywood.<\/p>\n
Coco is in good health and is now in the care of her owner.<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019m just not going to put her down for a while,\u201d said Kalagher.<\/p>\n
Police are still investigating, and are searching for the subject and stolen car.<\/p>\n
