{"id":215184,"date":"2026-04-01T22:49:24","date_gmt":"2026-04-01T22:49:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/215184\/"},"modified":"2026-04-01T22:49:24","modified_gmt":"2026-04-01T22:49:24","slug":"artemis-ii-no-sonic-booms-but-florida-space-coast-will-hear-rockets-roar-at-launch","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/215184\/","title":{"rendered":"Artemis II: No sonic booms, but Florida Space Coast will hear rocket&#8217;s roar at launch"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p data-v-f1afc186=\"\">When <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fox35orlando.com\/news\/artemis-ii-moon-mission-updates\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Artemis II lifts off from Launch Pad 39B<\/a> at Kennedy Space Center in Florida, the rumble of the engines thrusting will be heard \u2013 and perhaps felt \u2013 by those closest to the launch pad, and as far away as Orlando.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p data-v-f1afc186=\"\">Those nearest Kennedy Space Center and along the Space Coast, such as Mims, Titusville, Satellite Beach, and Cape Canaveral, will likely hear the rumble from the engines.<\/p>\n<p data-v-f1afc186=\"\">Those further out, including Daytona Beach, New Smyrna Beach, Deltona, Lary Mary, Orlando, and south to Palm Bay, may hear some of the rumble, but it depends on a lot of factors, according to FOX 35 meteorologist Noah Bergren.<\/p>\n<p>  Will you be able to hear Artemis II launch?\u00a0 <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/slot0.jpg\" alt=\"\" loading=\"lazy\" fetchpriority=\"auto\" data-v-2fe2fe3e=\"\"\/>  <\/p>\n<p data-v-f1afc186=\"\">In the graphic above, the extent of the yellow would be about three-and-a-half minutes after launch to be heard.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p> Will you be able to see <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fox35orlando.com\/tag\/science\/air-space\/artemis-2\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Artemis II<\/a> fly through the night sky into space? <\/p>\n<p data-v-f1afc186=\"\">Nearly all of Florida, including some of those who live in the Panhandle, and those in southern Georgia, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fox35orlando.com\/news\/artemis-ii-visibility-map-these-florida-georgia-cities-will-see-rocket-launch-to-moon\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">may be able to see Artemis II lift off from Florida&#8217;s Kennedy Space Center<\/a> on its way towards the moon \u2013 the first moon mission in some 50 years.<\/p>\n<p> What does +10, +20, +30 mean?
