INDIAN SHORES, FL \u2014 The son of the late, former U.S. Congressman Bill Young was arrested after an investigation into his \u201cinappropriate conduct\u201d with a 15-year-old girl, the Pinellas County Sheriff\u2019s Office said in a news release. <\/p>\n
Patrick Rainey Young, 38, of Indian Shores was charged with soliciting a child using a computer or device, harmful communication to a minor, and two counts of possession of child pornography. <\/p>\n
Detectives with the Crimes Against Children Unit received a tip on Jan. 8 about the relationship between the victim and a 38-year-old man, later identified as Young. <\/p>\n
Young met the victim while he was working the scoreboard at his son\u2019s non-school-related baseball game at Seminole High School, the sheriff\u2019s office said. <\/p>\n
He made sexual comments about the victim\u2019s body and gave her alcohol and nicotine, investigators said. <\/p>\n
They continued their relationship at additional baseball games and through Instagram messages, where they discussed sexual favors and nude photos in exchange for money. <\/p>\n
Detectives confirmed that Young gave the girl $300 after receiving a nude photo of her, PCSO said.
