Under his leadership, the band released several successful albums, including their debut, “Stand Up and Scream,” which charted in the U.S. and showcased their unique blend of metalcore and hard rock. Worsnop’s contributions were pivotal in establishing the band’s identity, and his emotive performances resonated with fans worldwide.

In addition to his work with Asking Alexandria, Worsnop co-founded the hard rock band We Are Harlot in 2011. The band released their self-titled debut album in 2015, which received critical acclaim and solidified their place in the rock scene. Nebraska Ave., Tampa.

Tickets start at $35.06. Visit www.theorpheum.com.

Formed in 2005 by high school friends from Scranton, Pennsylvania, Tigers Jaw have long been an important and revered band. They quickly gained attention for their ability to effectively and capture teenage emotions, with equal parts upbeat angst and mellow moodiness. And now, two decades later, the band is still going. Ben Walsh (guitar, vocals) and Brianna Collins (keys, vocals), alongside the expanded lineup featuring Mark Lebiecki (guitar), Colin Gorman (bass), and Teddy Roberts (drums), continue their legacy into a new era.

The band’s seventh full-length album, “Lost on You,” has just been released. According to Ground Control Touring, the new album showcase all the elements fans have come to love about Tigers Jaw. There’s the powerful and pounding rhythm section, the great melodic leads that shift from instrument to instrument, and, as always, the interchanging and overlapping vocals. With five years since their last release, Walsh noted that the band “wanted to feel confident in the material we have and let things progress naturally.” And so they took their time finding what felt right, even though, of course, life continued on all around them.

Songs like “Primary Colors” and “Baptized on a Redwood Drive” find the band embracing a driving midtempo similar to alt rock heroes Jimmy Eat World or Weezer, with other tracks like “Head is Like a Sinking Stone” and “Breezer” feeling so classic that the best reference is Tigers Jaw themselves. They sing about blades and knives, anxieties and intentions, and timeless TJ topics like two worlds and ghosts.

The Orpheum

Dead Meadow

TAMPA — Psychedelic rockers Dead Meadow will perform on Sunday, April 12, 7 p.m., at the Orpheum, 14802 N. Nebraska Ave., Tampa.

Tickets start at $28.69. Visit www.theorpheum.com.

Dead Meadow recently celebrated the 20th anniversary of their fourth album, “Feathers,” first released in February 2005. To mark the occasion, the band and Matador Records released an expanded reissue including 13 era-appropriate demos that are now newly available on digital services, the music video for “At Her Open Door,” and a complete concert video from 2004. Guitarist Jason Simon also created a new video for the “The Whirlings (Feathers Session).”

Dead Meadow dates to 1998, having formed in Washington, D.C. Current members include vocalist and guitarist Jason Simon and drummer Mark Laughlin. The duo combines 1970s era heavy metal and 1960s psychedelic rock with themes from authors such as J. R. R. Tolkien and H. P. Lovecraft.

Last year, Dead Meadow released “Voyager to Voyager,” a brand-new LP on Heavy Psych Sounds. Written and recorded in 2023, it is the band’s final studio recording with bassist and founding member Steve Kille, who died in 2024. Heavy Psych Sounds has also re-pressed a number of Dead Meadow catalog titles on limited edition colored vinyl, including “Shivering King and Others” (2003), “Old Growth” (2008), and “Warble Womb” (2013).

The Orpheum

Hail the Sun

TAMPA — Post-hardcore band Hail the Sun will perform on Tuesday, April 14, 6 p.m., at the Orpheum, 14802 N. Nebraska Ave., Tampa.

Tickets start at $41.70. Visit www.theorpheum.com.

According to Equal Vision Records, when Hail the Sun entered the studio to record what would become their highly-anticipated fifth full-length album, “New Age Filth,” they knew they were setting out to release their most ambitious material to date. The band, consisting of Donovan Melero (vocals/drums), Aric Garcia (guitar), John Stirrat (bass) and Shane Gann (guitar), spent five weeks with producer Kris Crummett which resulted in their most collaborative and diverse album yet.

“Domino,” the energetic first single off the record, showcases the band’s technical prowess with instruments dancing over one another as Melero belts out his signature high-pitched vocals. Lyrically, the track centers around reflection of self and how past actions can affect others.

Hail the Sun’s “New Age Filth” includes tracks that are heavier and poppier at the same time, proving their ability to be extremely technical in instrumentation while also unleashing some of the catchiest hooks they’ve ever created. The influence from genre-melding predecessors like Coheed and Cambria, At The Drive-In, and even Yes is apparent, but the sound is still very much a natural evolution from Hail The Sun’s past work.

The BayCare Sound Dwight Yoakam CLEARWATER — Grammy-award winning country superstar Dwight Yoakam will perform on Saturday, April…

[13
24329,1412,1339,5725,202,204,203,199,201,200,78062
0":"post-215484","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-st-petersburg","8":"tag-baycare-sound","9":"tag-benchmark-international-arena","10":"tag-clearwater","11":"tag-jannus-live","12":"tag-st-pete","13":"tag-st-pete-headlines","14":"tag-st-pete-news","15":"tag-st-petersburg","16":"tag-st-petersburg-headlines","17":"tag-st-petersburg-news","18":"tag-the-palladium
["GET
