After having lost a blowout in their previous game against North Cobb Christian, South Dade<\/a> was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by an 8-1 margin over the Hialeah Educational Academy Biggie<\/a>. This was payback for the Buccaneers, who suffered a 5-0 defeat the last time these two teams met.<\/p>\n

South Dade got a great performance from Emmanuel Mercedes<\/a> as he didn’t allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out eight over five innings pitched. Mercedes also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because the Buccaneers are 3-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 6-9 otherwise.<\/p>\n
