TITUSVILLE, Fla. \u2013 Thousands of spectators gathered along Florida\u2019s Space Coast to witness the Artemis launch, filling popular viewing areas hours before liftoff.<\/p>\n
At Space View Park, crowds began arriving early in the day, with many determined to secure the perfect vantage point.<\/p>\n
By late afternoon, the park was already packed.<\/p>\n
As the rocket lifted off, spectators described the moment as emotional and unforgettable.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s probably one of the most surreal things ever,\u201d one attendee said. \u201cIt doesn\u2019t get any more American than seeing that with our friends and family and neighbors.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThat was amazing. I\u2019ve never seen a rocket launch before,\u201d one person said. \u201cWe\u2019ve been following the whole Artemis mission, and it was very crazy in person.\u201d<\/p>\n
Others said the experience has become a tradition.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe\u2019ve been coming to Orlando for launches,\u201d one visitor said. \u201cWe came to the first one, we came to this one, and we\u2019ll come to more if they have more.\u201d<\/p>\n
Despite the crowds and traffic, attendees said watching the launch in person is unmatched.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s not the same thing watching on TV,\u201d one spectator said. \u201cYou don\u2019t feel the crowd, you don\u2019t hear people screaming. It\u2019s a whole vibe.\u201d<\/p>\n
Many viewers arrived early in the morning to claim their spots.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe got up at 6, left around 7:30, and here we are,\u201d one attendee said.<\/p>\n
Attendees said they plan to return for future launches, including upcoming Artemis missions.<\/p>\n
