Join us for First Friday on April 3rd from 5:30\u20138:30 p.m. for ‘In Quiet Witness’, a new exhibit of artwork by award-winning artist Marina Richmond. Richmond is a watercolor and ink artist whose work explores themes of silent observation and presence across figures, animals, and landscapes, often focusing on transitions between states: human and nature, life and death, inner and outer worlds, memory and the present. Through luminous color and subtle symbolism, she blends realism with narrative and magical realist elements.<\/p>\n
Marina was this year\u2019s first-place winner of \u00a0DRV Gallery’s annual Art for a Cause, and her new exhibition examines the moments between different states\u2014human and nature, life and death, memory and the present\u2014encouraging a quiet exchange between the subject and the viewer.<\/p>\n
Richmond grew up between Taiwan and the United States, and her bilingual and multicultural childhood continues to influence her sensitivity to atmosphere, restraint, and emotional nuance.
