{"id":215902,"date":"2026-04-02T11:03:22","date_gmt":"2026-04-02T11:03:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/215902\/"},"modified":"2026-04-02T11:03:22","modified_gmt":"2026-04-02T11:03:22","slug":"suspicious-armed-person-reported-outside-orlando-school","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/215902\/","title":{"rendered":"Suspicious Armed Person Reported Outside Orlando School"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A suspicious armed person was reported outside of an Orlando school according to local police.<\/p>\n<p>According to the Orlando Police Department, there was a police investigation underway at Boone High School after the school received a call reporting a suspicious armed person outside the campus.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/b4370751.smushcdn.com\/4370751\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/BooneHS_1.jpg?lossy=2&amp;strip=1&amp;webp=1\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-258111 lazyload\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/BooneHS_1-300x152.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"152\"  data- style=\"--smush-placeholder-width: 300px; --smush-placeholder-aspect-ratio: 300\/152;\" data-original-\/><\/a>As a precaution, the school was placed on lockdown while officers conducted a thorough search of the area, according to local law enforcement.<\/p>\n<p>Blankner School, located next door, was placed on a secure status out of an abundance of caution.<\/p>\n<p>The lockdown at Boone High School and Blankner has been lifted.<\/p>\n<p>OPD police officers conducted a thorough search of the campus and surrounding area and did not locate any suspicious individuals or threats. There is no threat to the campus, according to OPD.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Orlando Police Department appreciates the cooperation of students, staff, and parents as officers worked to ensure everyone\u2019s safety,\u201d OPD stated.<\/p>\n<p>Orange County Public Schools is the public school district for Orlando and Orange County in Central Florida.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"A suspicious armed person was reported outside of an Orlando school according to local police.
